This beautiful season continues as we look forward to the upcoming Lamb of God performances at Cleveland High School Performing Arts Center. There will be three performances.

Friday April 25th at 7:00pm, Saturday, April 26th at 2:00pm (ASL interpretation offered), and Saturday, April 26th at 7:00pm. Spanish super-titles will be available at all performances.

Lamb of God is a dramatic musical portrayal of the final days of the life of Jesus, from the foreshadowing raising of Lazarus, to the devastating arrest and crucifixion of Jesus, and finally to his glorious resurrection. Composed and written by Rob Gardner, the story of Jesus is told through the perspective of those who loved and walked with him: Peter, John, Thomas, Mary and Martha of Bethany, Mary Magdalene and his Mother Mary.

Experience the power of live music as over 400 talented instrumentalists and vocalists come together to perform this sacred masterpiece.
This event is general admission with no reserved seating. Doors will open for seating of ticketed patrons at 6:20 p.m. At 6:50 p.m. all unclaimed seats will be released to patrons in the stand-by line. Ticketed patrons are not guaranteed a seat after 6:50 p.m.

ACCOMODATIONS
A limited number of handicap accessible seats will be available on a first-come, first served basis to those who need them.

ASL interpretation will be offered at the Saturday, April 26, 2 p.m. performance.
Spanish super-titles will be available at all performances.

Help us make a difference in the lives of our neighbors by donating to the Catholic Charities food drive
"Feed my Sheep" John 21:17

This Easter season, let's work together to combat hunger and provide hope to those facing food insecurity. Bring your canned goods, pasta, rice, and other non-perishable items to the concert and drop them off in the lobby collection bins. Your non-perishable food donations will help stock the shelves of our local food pantry, providing vital resources to families in need. This activity is optional and not required to attend the concert.

I recently had the chance to reconnect with some missionary companions I served with in Bolivia in the late 1970s. It was a joy to reminisce about our experiences teaching the Gospel of Christ in a country where the Church was still in its early days-the first Branch was organized there in 1964. During our time as missionaries, we witnessed the formation of Bolivia’s first two Stakes in
1979. Today, the Church has grown to include 33 Stakes, with one Temple in operation and two more under construction. It is inspiring to see the Gospel spreading throughout the world and to know we had a small part in its growth.
The greatest blessing of reconnecting with these dear friends was the realization that we are still “Brothers in the Lord” (Alma 17:2).
Some of the closest relationships we form outside of our families are with fellow Saints-those we serve with, worship with, and see each week at Church. We truly are Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
I testify that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, that He lives and loves us, and that His Church is His kingdom on earth.
I invite you to reach out to an old friend or family member you haven’t seen in a while. And if you haven’t attended Church recently, l encourage you to return and renew those cherished friendships.

As we commemorate the birth and atonement of Jesus Christ with the covenant blackout bingo activities to help us with the Remember Him initiative, I would like to talk about memorizing The Living Christ. Unless I’m memorizing lyrics to a song, I have a difficult time. It does not come quickly for me. I have made serious attempts twice in my life. One was roughly 15 years ago. The second was last summer. I did memorize it 15 years ago. I subsequently forgot it. I did not complete it last summer. It’s time I make another attempt and completely memorize it. This may be the most involved of the activities that we are invited to accomplish.
Memorizing these words will be a testimony-enriching experience for all that make the attempt. As the words of modern apostles and prophets along with quoted scripture enter our minds, we will recognize that “Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God.”
I invite you to join me in memorizing the document. Give me 5 weeks, and then ask me beginning in April how l am doing. You will be blessed to understand the Lord’s mission with greater clarity and with the ability to express yourself with greater eloquence as you commit this document to memory.

Dear Stake Family,
Recently my father passed away and had not written down the code to get in to the safe and my mother could not remember the pass code. Of the valuables in her safe, what she wanted access to the most was their patriarchal blessings.
This experience reminded me of how valuable my Patriarchal Blessing is to me. It gives me important guidance and directions about my relationship with my Father in Heaven and my Savior. My Patriarchal Blessing is personal scripture to me from my Father in Heaven and gives me important direction and promises specific to me. I love the insights I receive when I read my Patriarchal Blessing. I’ve noticed these insights have grown and changed throughout the years as I continue to experience my mortality.
The brother of a good friend of mine passed away a few years back and his wife was very concerned that he had not fulfilled all the things in his Patriarchal Blessing. My friend explained to her that his Patriarchal Blessing is eternal and he will continue to have opportunities in the next life to fulfill his blessing. Our Patriarchal Blessings transcend this life and will continue to affect us in to the eternities.
My Patriarchal Blessing has played a significant role in my life and I know it was given to me from my Heavenly Father.

Hello Stake Family!

This past year, my testimony of temple work has deepened significantly. For a long time, I knew in my mind that it was important but hadn't truly felt that conviction in my heart. My patriarchal blessing speaks directly about providing opportunities for those who missed them in this life, using the clear phrase, "you will." There’s little room for interpretation, though I’ve certainly tried to reason my way out of responsibilities like indexing. However, as our ward has renewed its efforts, and inspired by the example of my own father—who is practically a fixture at the temple now—I’ve spent more time within those sacred walls.

We often pray for things like peace, progress, and stronger family bonds. Instead of simply granting these blessings, Heavenly Father offers experiences and opportunities that allow us to seek and claim them for ourselves. I've come to better understand that these gifts are found in the temple. There, we learn of our divine potential and are shaped by the Spirit. Our characters are molded by God's hands as we build bridges with Heaven—and Heaven, in turn, builds bridges with us. Our ancestors minister to us as angels; let us likewise minister to them by dedicating time to their sacred work.

Invitation: This week I encourage you to find and take a name to the temple. Doing so will help you to connect more with those who came before you, who I am positive are eagerly rooting you on from the other side.

Good Evening Stake Family,

I am blessed to be able to share a message with you to help Remember Him this week. This message is also conveyed in the attached PDF.

During World War II, a statue of Jesus Christ was damaged in the bombing of a small city in France. The townspeople mourned its loss, as it was a symbol of their faith. While most of the statue was repaired, the hands were too severely damaged to be restored. Some in the town suggested sculpting new hands, but ultimately they chose to leave it as it was, without hands. The statue now had a deeper meaning emphasized with a sign at the base that read, “You are my hands.” In Matthew 25:40 Christ teaches that “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

We are not alone in our efforts. Christ is near, ever watchful and present in our lives. A powerful promise in D&C 84:88 gives me comfort. He promises, “I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left” I know He guides our hands and accomplishes his work through building us. He is building you and me as we reach out to others with our hands.

Invitation: This week, I invite you to Remember Him by using your hands to lift another. Prayerfully consider who you can text a message to, any message at all. Let the spirit guide and reach out with your hands to lift others, through a text.

As we begin this season with renewed effort to Remember Him, our Stake leaders invite you to challenge yourselves to find simple and meaningful ways to live your covenants and express your faith in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow at church, look for the greeters before Sacrament Meeting. They will have a covenant bingo card for you, one for each individual. There is one style for adults & youth, and a separate one for primary children.

I invite you to prayerfully consider how you can add additional simple activities to your lives that will allow you to deepen your faith, serve others, express love and appreciation, testify, invite, magnify your covenants, and Remember Him more richly. These cards contain different suggestions on how you can approach this effort. As you complete one of the listed activities, you fill in a block to mark your accomplishment. There is a second grouping called "heart activities" which require a bit more of a dedicated effort to achieve.

For each of you that really gives it your best and achieves a full card blackout (completes at least one activity for each block on the card), with at least two being from the Heart Activity category, you will be given a memento to help you remember your covenant focused, faith-filled participation in this activity.

During each of the next 15 Sundays leading up to Stake Conference (May 17-18), a Stake Leader will send out an email with a message and challenge on how you might try to remember Him that week.

It is my prayer that through this effort to find additional ways to magnify your covenants, Remember Him, and keep the Savior in your daily lives, you will draw strength and hope that will sustain you.

There is a special “Remember Him” initiative that is being introduced to us this Sunday, January 12th, 2025 during our second hour of our meetings. The initiative is being rolled out under the direction of North America, Southwest, Area Presidency, (NASW). It invites us to “increase our focus on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ beyond the Christmas season, leading in a joyous celebration of the Atonement and Resurrection of the Savior during Easter Week and beyond.” The Area presidency will release a special broadcast this coming Sunday for all adults and youth in the wards. It will be viewed in each ward, in our Stake, during the second hour of meetings.

Key Elements are:

Focused Sacrament meeting talks on the Savior

Activities and community outreach through service

Social media campaign

Sacrament meeting invitations to our friends to come and join us.

I hope that you’ll prepare yourself for this special broadcast this Sunday and for the months ahead by purposely focusing on your Savior, and Redeemer. Make Him the center of all that our doing. Centering Him in your life will bring great JOY and PEACE to your heart and mind.

Merry Christmas….and a Happy New Year.
At this special time of year, I invite you to consider the great gift that the Savior has given us all. As we celebrate His birth, may we think about His life, His gospel and His example that he showed us. I’ve attached a short Christmas message from President Nelson that invites us to share the light and spirit of Christmas with others. Merry Christmas….and a Happy New Year.
At this special time of year, I invite you to consider the great gift that the Savior has given us all. As we celebrate His birth, may we think about His life, His gospel and His example that he showed us. I’ve attached a short Christmas message from President Nelson that invites us to share the light and spirit of Christmas with others. The Stake has arranged for another opportunity for the youth across the stake to gather at the Temple, the House of the Lord, to do baptisms for dead. Please sign up at one of the two sign-up genius links below, one for the 4pm session and one for the 5pm session.
The temple baptism sessions are limited to 15 youth each, so the sign-ups are done on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up each person, even if there are multiple youth in a group, so that we have an accurate count. Please also indicate the number of Melchizedek Priesthood holders that will attend with your group (it's okay if there aren't any).

If you sign up now and then realize later that you can't make it, please remove yourself from the signup so another person can attend.
